Director - JILL JERAN is in her fourth year as the Choral Director at Carroll High School. She is a native of Indiana and graduate of Taylor University. Her love of music has been demonstrated both in Indiana as well as around the world. During her years at Taylor, she toured with the Taylor Sounds and performed solo concerts yearly to benefit a variety of causes. She also performed with the well-known gospel artist, Larnell Harris.

She had been a show choir director for several years before moving to the Middle East. Upon graduation, she worked for six years in secondary music, directing competitive show choirs from Norwell and Bishop Luers High Schools. It was at this time that she and her husband decided to move overseas. During her nine years abroad, she taught sight reading classes at the Bursa Metropolitan Conservatory of Music, gave private lessons, taught music at the local schools and operated a recording studio with her husband. Most notably, she became proficient in Turkish Folk Music and recorded two separate albums in this unique style, which have been distributed throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Mrs. Jeran continues to work as a studio musician doing background vocals on various recording projects. She is also very involved at Pine Hills Church where she sings with the worship team and participates on several committees. She has been married for 16 years to her husband, Jonathan, and has three wonderful children, Jordan, Jacob, and Janae.

    Choir Assistant - Hannah Alphonse

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Hannah moved to the Chicago area in 1990. She began her singing career by leading worship for the church youth group, and performing in various choirs and school musicals. Hannah went on to study music at Indiana Wesleyan University where she graduated this spring with a degree in vocal performance. In 2007 Hannah moved to Fort Wayne with her husband, Nirup so that he could serve as the worship Pastor at Pine Hills Church. Hannah is involved in the worship team, kids ministries, missions and the creative team at Pine Hills. She also works outside church on furthering her own singing career. Hannah is a recording artist and an actress in both stage and film. She brings with her a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to our choral program. She is very excited to be helping out this year with the choir at Carroll. Join me in welcoming her!
